Angular contact ball bearings have inner and outer ring raceways that are displaced relative to each other in the direction of the bearing axis. This means that these bearings are designed to accommodate combined loads, i.e. simultaneously acting radial and axial loads. The axial load carrying capacity is dependent on the contact angle; i.e. the larger the angle, the higher the load to which the bearing can be subjected.
Precision bearings are designed to deliver the high accuracy, high rotational speed, and high rigidity needed for demanding machine tool applications. Each application has its own unique requirements, and each type of bearing has different characteristics.
